Our approach
A home should begin with your story.
We treat the client as a collaborator. Your routines, preferences, and point of view give a project its personality; our role is to turn those ideas into a clear, cohesive design.
Understand the way you live
We begin with the people and purpose behind the space: what you enjoy, what is not working, and what you want to feel at home.
Find the right direction
We bring layout, color, materials, and furnishings into a design direction that feels expressive and useful, rather than prescribed.
Make the details belong
We look at choices across rooms so each space has character while the home feels connected from beginning to end.
The people behind the work
Meet Cynthia & Carolina.
Cynthia Whitaker and Carolina Velasquez bring complementary experience to Whitaker Velasquez Studio. Together, they create interiors that are warm, expressive, comfortable, and closely connected to each client.
Cynthia founded her firm in 2006 after studying architecture and earning a degree in interior design. Carolina brings a people-centered perspective shaped by her work in social services and many years in the design field. Both believe the strongest spaces begin by listening.
